The Scarab, the underestimated 8th House Entity. Symbolistic of transformation, restoration, resurrection, growth and the cycle of life and death and day and night.
Scarab beetles were sacred in ancient Egypt, and commonly compared to Khepri, the god of the rising sun. Khepri was said to roll the sun through the underworld at night, pushing it over the horizon in the morning. In nature, these creatures are known to be destructive to plant life and some varieties of this species are known to extract the nutrients from the waste of livestock for sustenance. You could say they literally "got it out the mud" lmao. But thinking about it, from destruction comes creation and new beginnings and with the mentality of creating something from nothing or "waste," it makes sense how the great Egyptian minds could see the value in this beautiful creature.
